“The Gonzales & Huang Orthodontics practice is an amazing group of people, from the doctors to the staff members. Each person is professional, knowledgeable, kind, and very patient. The practice itself is very efficiently run and each person has a big smile for you each time they see you. You feel like a family member the minute you walk in for your first appointment.
The doctors deliver the results that are explained to you on the initial visit. They help to ease your fears about the procedures. One way they help is to talk you through each procedure as they perform it. They also provide clear instructions on what to do after each appointment. If there is ever any problem, the doctors are easy to reach and are there to help you immediately.
My braces have been off for quite some time now, but I return for 6 month routine visits, at no cost to me! The doctors ensure that my retainers are fully functional so that my teeth remain straight and beautiful.
I am very grateful to the Gonzales & Huang Orthodontics group for helping to make a positive difference in my life.”
“I'm a new patient so don't yet have enough experience for any long term commentary, but what I can happily report to those considering braces is that these doctors and staff are definitely legit and skilled, with a seasoned gift for working with all sorts of patients. My primary reason for getting the braces was to limit the damage from a long term problem tooth, and then to also look decent for family and employers the older I get (no joke)! Instead of turning into a long-toothed geriatric homeless, hippy, I'm happily applying insurance which Corp America still offers us, before outsourcing our jobs, to a worthwhile project like (colorful) braces to keep me cheered up and young.
On that note, it's actually fun and addictive to go into these lovely souls' office. Starting with Susanna, who quickly and graciously welcomes one (and also efficiently helps the anxious suffering newbies with emergencies), the experience is more like a fun school art project. Then there's Kevin, and another friendly tech (whose name escapes me due to sleepiness at the time), who are skilled, dynamic and dedicated in a really lovely, engaging way. kevin very patiently did a ton of sudden work for me the other day. They're very thorough and interesting. So much so that the challenge at the few appointments I've attended is for me to actually stop talking ;-) And they don't brutalize one's mouth, for anyone like me who is incredibly wimpy about dental stuff!
Then of course, there are the doctors, who are also really dedicated and easy to "dance" with in terms of figuring out what to do with the teeth and getting everything adjusted. Not arrogant or insensitive and aloof at all. Huang was the good doctor overseeing the braces installation for me. He's got nerves of steel and tons of knowledge, patience and experience. And he's actually easy to understand without any esoteric or abstract explanations.
Gonzales was the other good doctor, who helped prepped my case (even going over issues with my dentist, beforehand) for a good strategy, and then later helped with some vital follow-up. He's just like Huang and they both have a great sense of humor.
What else? Their (san leandro) office is comfortable, clean and park-ible. The pricing plans are feasible, even if one has to watch one's pennies during the rough economic times. They're organized and easy to find. And necessary materials are available. I also like their way of fostering a little community amongst their patients, since we are all crossing paths so often and weathering the braces for a long time.
Finally, one just feels 20 years younger whenever one finishes an appointment, even if you need Kevin to pass you some Ibuprofin for the rest of your day ;-)
First Rate. Definitely let THEM handle your needs.”
