Appointment Info

Orthodontic treatment proceeds in stages. What is needed is a change in the arch wires or an adjustment of the appliances being worn. These appointments occur every 4-6 weeks and are usually relatively short, 10-20 minutes. However, some appointments require placing the braces or a major change in the appliances. We try to reserve the afternoon appointments for shorter appointments in order to see more kids after school, which is usually more convenient for both the parent and the patient. With this in mind, we reserve the morning appointments for longer procedures like putting on the braces and removing braces. By scheduling in this manner, we are able to see more patients in the after-school hours.

Because the schedule is carefully crafted, arriving late or missing your appointment can pose a problem. If you feel you are going to be late or miss the appointment, PLEASE CALL our office to ask if we can see you or if we need to re-schedule your appointment for another time. In fairness to the other scheduled patients, we may not be able to squeeze a patient into the schedule if he or she is late.
